As a nonprofit, your organization has a unique nature, and we intimately understand the inner workings of your world. Why? Because we’ve been there. We have each worked in the nonprofit sector for almost 20 years in various capacities. We have put our blood, sweat and tears into starting organizations and we have come into others and made them thrive. We have made cold calls and big warm calls, we’ve hired (and fired), created budgets, marketing plans, carried out those plans, and everything in between. We get you.
It is with this in mind that we created Iceberg Integrative Consulting. It is a well known fact that you can only see about 10% of an iceberg's splendour, while 90% of it is hiding beneath the surface. We know that in the world of nonprofits, passion and drive are just the tip of the iceberg, and that you need a hand to help surface the rest of your enormous potential.

What drives us.
Our practice and passion for Integrative Consulting, stems from a frustration with a process which we have witnessed on numerous occasions, and in a few instances, been a part of firsthand.
Imagine being an employee or a director in a nonprofit and your organization paying out tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars to ‘seasoned consultants’.
You spend weeks or months on what seems like extremely important work. Eventually the process wraps up and you pay your final bill. What happens? Some of the ideas hang around for a bit, and are even spoken about every so often, but in the end, years later all you have to show for it is a few binders full of materials and some pretty colourful plans that were never implemented. Your organization is still the same, still hoping for more, wanting to make a bigger impact, but lacking the tools needed to get there.
If you’ve had this experience, you’re not alone as this has been the experience of nonprofits over the years. The consultants mean well and really want to deliver value, but there is a fundamental flaw in the process. The same lack of know-how, correct processes, and at times, lack of resources, that existed before the consulting process began, exist after the process is completed, making it challenging or near impossible to do what is needed to create real, lasting change. In the end, the initial consulting process is only the ‘tip of the Iceberg’.

That is where Iceberg and our Integrative Consulting process stands apart! Our process starts with an assessment where we get an understanding of your hopes and dreams, as well as your main challenges and pain points. Next, we work with you to create a plan, but not the type of plan you’re thinking of. This is not the time to sit and create a strategic plan, but rather an action plan for your organization. A plan to take your organization from where it is, to where you want it to be. Only a healthy organization really has a chance at following a strategic plan to actualize its mission.
And finally, and this is the most important part, and the part that sets Iceberg and our Integrative Consulting process apart from anyone else you have worked with; we work the plan with you! We roll up our sleeves and get in the trenches with you! With ongoing meetings as we move your organization from where it is to where you want it to be, we’re with you every step of the way. This allows you to create structure, processes and accountability for your organization.
In addition, we can also assist with a key area of the organization, where you are currently lacking the resources or know-how, whether it be fundraising or marketing, Iceberg has you covered.
